Report from the Weyburn Police Service from May 24 to May 30:*On May 29 and 30, police attended to several calls regarding disturbances at the Weyburn Curling Rink during the annual Spring Fling. These matters were resolved without incident.*On May 27, police answered a call about a break and enter to a residence in which a table saw was stolen.*On May 26, police received a call from a Weyburn resident complaining of Internet fraud. It was determined that three counterfeit money orders were involved and may trace to Paris, France. The matter is under investigation.*On May 25, police attended the Weyburn General Hospital to assist with an intoxicated patient.*On May 24, police attended a 911 call on Seventh Street. The occupant of the home denied calling 911. The police service would like to remind members of the public that it is a criminal offence to make a prank call to 911.*Police attended a child custody dispute case; the matter was resolved without incident.*Police attended to a theft from a vehicle. Stolen was a DVD player, Nintendo DS and games, a gas card and two pairs of sunglasses. The matter is under investigation.*Police attended a call in which the complainant felt her dog was being poisoned. The matter is under investigation.*Police attended a complaint of mischief to a vehicle. Investigation showed that Pepsi Cola may have been put into the vehicles' gas tank. The matter is under investigation.*Police attended to 101 calls for service during this reporting period, including several hit and run accidents and alcohol-related occurrences.*The investigation into the death of a local infant continues.
