A local group of individuals participated in the Friends and Family Team Challenge category of Run for the Cure and won the Award for that category, raising $13,622 for the Run. Their team, the Pirates of the CUREibean, were the top fundraising team and were awarded a plaque as well as a $350 Gift Certificate for East Side Mario's, who were the sponsors for that Category. "The Pirates of The CUREibean would like to thank ALL of our supporters!! Give yourselves a pat on the back; it was with your help that we have $13,622 to donate to breast cancer research!" said team member Krissy Cleasby. The 2nd Annual Pirates of the CUREibean 'All Aboard for a Cure' Ladies Night Out is scheduled for Friday, May 11, 2012.
