The Assiniboia RCMP would like to remind the public to not give out their private information over the phone, including their date of birth, banking information, or Social Insurance Number.
Several phone scams are currently going through the Assiniboia area, many involving the misuse of Social Insurance Numbers and/or a warrant for an arrest.
These phone calls are scams and should not be responded to.
Many of these scam calls are displaying local Assiniboia phone numbers and claiming to be police.
If anyone believes they have provided private information to a scammer, please contact the Assiniboia RCMP Detachment at 306-642-7110.
