Members of the Estevan RCMP Detachment are currently investigating a two vehicle collision on Highway 18, 14 kilometres west of Estevan.
A head on collision, involving a small passenger car and semi tractor unit, occurred at approximately 6:45 am. The 20-year-old female driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi unit was not injured.
Road conditions and alcohol are not believed to have been a factor in the collision. A coroner and a traffic collision analyst attended the scene and an investigation is continuing. The road had been closed all day and traffic had been re-routed but it is now open again.
No names of the persons involved are being released at this time.
