EPS members responded to a concern regarding a disturbance outside an apartment building on the night of May 12. When they arrived, they sent two of the three people involved in the incident on their way. As they continued their questioning into the disturbance, police came across a fourth person, a 20-year-old male, who was found inside one of the apartments in contravention of judicial conditions that had been imposed on him. He was therefore arrested for being in breach of his probation order and was remanded in custody pending his May 16 court date.
Police were then called to a disturbance at a local lounge during the early morning hours of May 13.
They spoke to a female subject who was involved in the incident since the other two subjects had already departed the scene. The matter remains under investigation.
Police next responded to a car alarm that was reported to have been set off in a residential area on the east side of the city. When they arrived, the alarm had been deactivated and no unusual activity was noted in the area.
On the nights of May 13, 14 and 15, EPS members charged two people for impaired driving and driving while their blood-alcohol level was over .08 per cent, another four were charged for being in possession of controlled substances and one person was charged for theft of goods valued at under $5,000 and for being in breach of a probation order.
