Masks to be implemented at Â鶹´«Ã½AVeast College

Starting August 31, 2020, Â鶹´«Ã½AVeast College will be following the lead of its post secondary partners in Saskatchewan - University of Saskatchewan, University of Regina and Saskatchewan Polytechnic, with the implementation of non medical face mask usage in each of its campus locations.Ìý

In order to help decrease the risk of the spread of the COVID 19 virus and ensure their students and staff are in the safest environments possible, masks will be worn in all common areas such as hallways, washrooms, elevators and stairwells.

Masks will also be worn in classrooms when a minimum physical distance of two metres cannot be met.Ìý

Â鶹´«Ã½AVeast College’s goal is to ensure continuous and uninterrupted studies for all students for the 2020-2021 academic year. The college recognizes the immense sacrifice, planning and commitment that each of our students has put into their education.

The successful completion and graduation of Â鶹´«Ã½AVeast College students is vital to both local and provincial economies.Ìý

Industry and Safety students are encouraged to bring their own mask for personal use. Â鶹´«Ã½AVeast College will provide disposable masks to students who don’t bring their own upon entry to the facility.Ìý

Â鶹´«Ã½AVeast College will continue to follow the advice of the Chief Medical Health Officer and the Government of Saskatchewan.

Protocols will be updated accordingly as the situation with the COVID 19 pandemic changes.Ìý
