UPDATE: The Weyburn RCMP reports that Highway 13 west of the city is open once again. The public is asked to be cautious in the area.

WEYBURN - The Weyburn RCMP and other emergency crews are currently on the scene of a large grass fire approximately five kilometres west of Weyburn.
Highway 13 was blocked and vehicles were being turned around from travelling in the area for safety reasons. .
The RCMP will provide an update when we one is available.
A fire has also broken out south of Griffin. Fire crews have been at the scene. Five tractors and discs are helping with the blaze.
