Intoxicated drivers given court dates by police

On the night of March 4, members of the Estevan Police Service (EPS) attended to a domestic dispute on the south side of the city. The parties involved in the incident went separate ways following police intervention and no further action was required.

On that same evening, a 23-year-old Estevan man was arrested for leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident and for driving while impaired.

Police said they made the arrest after the man fled the accident scene and headed home.
Police made the arrest and placed the man in custody until he was sober.

On the night of March 4, a 24-year-old Saskatoon man was arrested and charged with impaired driving. He was later released with a future court date scheduled.

On the night of March 5, EPS members responded to a report of an altercation between a man and woman in the central part of the city.

When police arrived at the scene, the two left the area heading in separate directions after discussing the matter with police officers.

On that same night, a 36-year-old Estevan man was arrested and charged with impaired driving and driving while his blood alcohol level exceeded .08 per cent. He was later released and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

EPS members then attended to a residence in the central part of the city in response to a domestic disturbance report. A 28-year-old Estevan man was subsequently arrested and lodged in cells for the evening and released when sober.
