ESTEVAN - Many businesses and organizations partook in the 2021 SMILE Service parade, which started the Estevan Exhibition Association’s KCRA rodeo weekend.
And the community didn’t leave the event unattended.
Hundreds of people gathered along the route of the parade. Kids traditionally were collecting candies, playing and enjoying great old-fashion time out.
Decorated floats went down Fourth Street and then made their way to the Exhibition Grounds, thus opening the rodeo.
Friday night saw see Kids Rodeo and new this year Hooves vs. Hawgs races.
Saturday will offer much entertainment for kids and adults alike.
Slack is slated for 9 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. Beer gardens open at 2 p.m. on Saturday and at 10 a.m. on Sunday. And bouncy castles will invite little guests starting at 2 p.m.
The rodeo will start at 5 p.m. on Saturday and at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
Cabaret starts at 9 p.m. and will go until 2 a.m. on Saturday.
