Classes and final exams are over for the students of Weyburn Comprehensive School (WCS). The only major event remaining for WCS students is graduation.Graduation will be held June 26, beginning with the graduation ceremony at 10 a.m. in the school gymnasium. A public reception will be held at 2 p.m. in the library courtyard, followed by the group photo, which will be taken at 3 p.m. Each grad will be individually introduced during the ceremony. There will be tributes, a performance by the grad choir and an address from valedictorian Gene Irwin.At 5:30 p.m., invited guests will attend the Young Fellow's pit barbecue at the Weyburn Curling Rink. At 7 p.m. there will be a public program and a grad video presentation followed by a dance. The Chem-free grad will start at 9 p.m.There are 146 graduates this year, which is about the same as last year. Classes will resume at WCS on August 27. Registration is on August 26.
