Family Place gearing up for Festival of Trees auction

Festival of Trees and silent auction items can all be viewed at Great Plains Ford.

WEYBURN – The 2022 Festival of Trees is gearing up for the display of Christmas trees and the silent auction fundraiser, with the trees to be on display from Nov. 18 to 24 at Great Plains Ford.

While the trees and silent auction items can be viewed in person, bids for the silent auction will be online, closing on Nov. 23, and the final auction of the Christmas trees will be online as well, on Nov. 24, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The Family Place is collecting items for the online silent auction, and items can be dropped off at the Family Place.

Two special pop-up events will be held in conjunction with the Festival of Trees, with a Crafty Christmas day on Tuesday, Nov. 22, from 1 to 2:30 p.m., and a visit by Santa Claus for photos at the Festival of Trees, on the day of the auction, Nov. 24, from 1-2:30 p.m., both at Great Plains Ford.

The crafty day will include such activities as building your own ornament, decorating a sugar cookie or making a countdown-to-Christmas craft.

Donors of items for the silent auction can also call the Family Place at 306-842-7477 to make arrangements for their donations to be picked up.

Those wishing to donate and set up a tree for the auction can also call the Family Place to register the tree prior to the show opening on Nov. 18.
