The City of Estevan has lifted the evacuation notice for the Willow Park Greens Trailer Park. The following is the press released issued by the City:
The City of Estevan advises that the Evacuation Order for Willow Park Greens Trailer Park has been lifted. Effective immediately, residents of the trailer park may return to their homes. Evacuees are reminded to take their possessions with them upon vacating the Reception Centre. Pets can be picked up at All Creatures and Prairie Animal Health Centre.
SaskEnergy will be on scene to reinstate gas service, noting that homes with gas water heaters will be prioritized. Residents are asked to check their refrigerators and freezers upon returning home due to the extended power outage.
In the event that water out-flows increase or heavy rainfall occurs again, residents may once more be asked to leave and should be prepared to do so.
Meals for lunch and supper will be provided at the Leisure Centre on June 23, 2011.
The Souris Valley Aquatic Leisure Centre will re-open on June 23, 2011 at 4:00pm for regular hours of operation.
