ESTEVAN - A collision in Macoun involving a train and a car resulted in two people being taken to the hospital Thursday night.
An email from the Saskatchewan RCMP states that at around 8 p.m. Thursday, the Estevan RCMP, Midale/Cymri Fire and Rescue and Estevan EMS received a call of a collision between a car and a train near Highway 39 at an entrance to Macoun.
Two adults in the car were transported to the hospital as a precaution.
CP Police is now investigating the incident.

Earlier on Thursday, members of the Estevan RCMP were called to another incident that involved injuries.
At around 1 p.m., officers, along with emergency medical services and the Estevan Fire Rescue Service, responded to a complaint of a single-vehicle collision involving a car on Highway 47, about six kilometres south of Benson.
The highway remained open, but emergency workers were at the scene. The lone adult female driver of the car was transported to hospital.
An investigation is ongoing.
