ESTEVAN - Members of the Estevan Police Service had a busy day Saturday, with a variety of calls, including two calls for one person.
Police received a request to do a wellbeing check on an individual in a home in the Pleasantdale area. Officers attended and found a 57-year-old man extremely intoxicated and threatening. The man was admitted to the hospital.
Later, police were advised he left the hospital against medical advice and was located a short distance away from the hospital. Due to his level of intoxication, he was lodged in cells until sober. Police also determined he was the individual responsible for a grocery theft earlier in the week. The man was charged with theft under $5,000 and given a court date in October.
Members received a report of an argument between individuals at a local apartment complex. Police attended and one party was already gone. Officers were advised the two parties began discussing an issue and it turned into an argument, which is what was reported to police.
EPS members received a report of a male unlawfully in a dwelling. Police attended and the homeowner asked the individual to leave in front of the police. The individual left without any further incident.
Police are investigating a break and enter and mischief to a construction site.
Members received a report of a break and enter to an apartment. Police attended and determined it was not a break and enter. Either the resident left the door unlocked or the matter was being inappropriately reported.
Police located a 37-year-old woman that was out past her curfew. She was arrested, charged and released. The woman will appear in court in October.
