ESTEVAN - An Estevan man is facing a couple of impaired driving-related charges after he was arrested on Halloween.
Police arrested a 55-year-old man from Estevan after a traffic stop on Perkins Street. He has been charged with impaired operation of a conveyance and refusal to provide a sample of breath. He was lodged in cells until sober and will appear in court in December to speak to his charges.
His driver’s licence has been suspended and his vehicle impounded for 60 days.
Police received a report of a possible fraud on Oct. 30. Further investigation resulted in it being non-criminal in nature. The complainant was offered some supports and was able to resolve the matter on their own.
Members attended to a residence in the Centennial area for a report of a possible break and enter. The homeowner arrived while members were on scene and nothing appeared to be out of place. The door might have opened because it may not have been properly latched during the high winds.
Police arrested a 38-year-old Estevan man as a result of a shoplifting investigation from a local convenience store. He also had an outstanding warrant. He was later released and will appear in court in December to speak to his charges.
Officers were called to a residential area for a report of a large group of people fighting in the streets. Members located the group of kids who were just play fighting. No further action was required.
Police were called to a business in the downtown core for a male refusing to pay his cab fare. The individual fled on foot prior to members arriving but police have a suspect. The matter remains under investigation.
Members received a report of a car alarm going off for several hours at a business parking lot. Attempts to locate the registered owner were unsuccessful.
