ESTEVAN - A trial date has been set for later this year in the case of Estevan's Joshua LeBlanc.
The trial is slated to begin on Oct. 2 in Court of King's Bench in Estevan. It is to be a three-day trial, and it will be trial-by-judge rather than a jury trial.
He is charged with one count each of sexual assault and sexual exploitation.
His most recent appearance in Estevan Court of King's Bench was on Tuesday.
LeBlanc was arrested and charged in May 2022.
He has had numerous court appearances since that time, and a preliminary hearing was held in August. At that time, the case was moved from Estevan Provincial Court to Court of King's Bench. At the time, he was also facing a charge of luring a child under the age of 18.
None of the charges have been proven in court.
