UPDATED: Electoral candidates announced for all three Regina ridings

A total slate of 15 candidates will be vying for a seat in the three Regina ridings, each currently held by the Conservative Party since the 2019 federal election.

REGINA — After the federal writ dropped on Sunday, candidates across the country began their campaigns for the short-handed federal election — including in Regina’s three ridings.

Here is a short summary of the candidates currently announced for Regina–Lewvan, Regina –Qu’Appelle and Regina–Wascana.

Regina–Lewvan

Conservative Party incumbent Warren Steinley is running again, after being first elected in 2019. Steinley previously served as the MLA for Regina Walsh Acres, with the Sask Party. View his campaign website at .

Running with the Liberal Party, Susan Cameron has worked previously in the agriculture and agri-food sector with Farm Credit Canada, and has also served extensive volunteer hours in the provincial sport of water polo. View her campaign website at .

NDP candidate Tria Donaldson works with the Canadian Union of Public Employees, and has done work as an activist regarding protecting health care and fighting the privatization of crown corporations. View her campaign website at .

Michael Wright, with the Green Party, is a public school teacher and previously has worked as an engineer and analyst with the Ministry of Highways. He has put his name forward as a provincial candidate four times previously. View his campaign website at .

Running with the People's Party of Canada, Rod Kletchko is the owner of a point-of-sale equipment and supplies business. He also campaigned for the Ward 6 seat on Regina city council last year. View his profile at .

Regina–Qu’Appelle

Incumbent Andrew Scheer will be seeking re-election, after most notably serving as the Speaker of the House of Commons and previous party leader for the Conservatives. His campaign platform remains focused on lowering taxes, controlling government spending and creating an economic plan for all Canadians. View his campaign website at .

Liberal candidate Cecelia Melanson currently works as a notary public and daycare operator, after emigrating to Canada in 2004. She previously ran in the 2019 election as the Liberal candidate for Moose Jaw–Lake Centre–Lanigan. A campaign website could not be found at the time of publishing.

Running with the NDP, Annaliese Bos is a veterinary technician in Regina and the founder of Bi/Pan Regina. A campaign website could not be found at the time of publishing.

Green Party candidate Naomi Hunter is also in the race, as a local producer, small business owner and current leader of the provincial Green Party delegation. View her campaign website at .

Andrew Yubeta is the final People's Party of Canada candidate running in Regina, and he is a military veteran who immigrated to Canada from the USA. A campaign website could not be found at the time of publishing.

Regina–Wascana

Michael Kram, Conservative incumbent, is seeking re-election. Kram previously worked in the IT sector, including several contracts with the Department of National Defence. He has served on the committee for international trade and for transport, infrastructure and communities. View his campaign website  at .

Liberal candidate Sean McEachern is currently an executive officer with the Organization for Security and Co-Operation in Europe’s Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine, and has previously worked on developing public policy as a member of former federal Minister of Finance Ralph Goodale’s office. Erin Hiddlebaugh, running as the NDP candidate, works as the community connections coordinator with Moose Jaw Pride, and has previously worked within the journalism and communications sector. A campaign website could not be found at the time of publishing.

Running with the Green Party, Victor Lau has previously worked as a trade unionist and consultant, and is credited as one of the original founders of the Sask. Green Party. He currently serves as the deputy leader for the provincial delegation. View his campaign website at .

Mario Milanovski is the only candidate running under the banner of the People’s Party of Canada in Regina. He works as an IT professional and previously ran in the 2019 election for this riding. View his campaign website at .
