There were 11 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on September 19, bringing the total to 1,787 reported cases. 

The newest cases were located in the Saskatoon (2), Central West (1), Central East (1), Regina (5) and Â鶹´«Ã½AV Central (2) zones. 

Both of the new cases reported in Saskatoon were linked to the outbreak at Brandt Industries. 

Initial public health investigations suggested the outbreak was linked to out-of-province travel. 

Of the 1,787 reported cases, 121 were considered active. A total of 1,642 people recovered. 

A total of 10 people were in hospital. Nine people received inpatient care; seven of those were in Saskatoon, with one in Regina and one in the Â鶹´«Ã½AV Central zone. 

One person was in intensive care in Saskatoon. 

Investigations completed thus far concluded 25 of the 121 current active cases originated from communal living settings.

A drive-through testing site that doesn’t require referrals is operating in Regina in addition to the testing and assessment centres currently open. 

The site is at the International Trade Centre at Evraz Place at Hall C, 1700 Elphinstone Street. The site is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 – 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

A valid Saskatchewan Health Card is required for each person who is getting tested. A Canadian Armed Forces number or Interim Federal Health identification is also accepted.

Those who are tested are required to wear masks during the registration process.

Drive-thru sites are first come, first served, so there may be wait times ahead. People are required to wait in their vehicles. There are no public washrooms available at this testing site.
