There were 31 new cases of COVID-19 in total to report in Saskatchewan since the weekend of July 11-12, bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases in Saskatchewan to 871 on July 13.

There was growing evidence of transmissions spreading throughout Â鶹´«Ã½AVwest and West-Central Saskatchewan.

The following Rural Municipalities were reported to have COVID-19 cases on July 13: Maple Creek, Auvergne, Biggar, Carmichael, Eagle Creek, Harris, Lac Pelletier, Newcombe, Perdue, Kellross and Prairiedale.Ìý

The Ministry of Health and the Saskatchewan Health Authority said they were working with the Hutterian Safety Council to address cases in the Maple Creek area and elsewhere, allowing for increased testing and contact tracing in certain rural RMs.

The cooperation between these three organizations had furthered the recognition of new cases in the province, thus confirming more residents have/or are receiving the support they require.Ìý

Over the immediate period, increased testing and contact tracing resources will be deployed to the affected communities and surrounding areas.Ìý

Residents across the province are encouraged to follow the necessary public health measures and personal safety precautions, including self-isolation, if they’ve been in contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19 or has related symptoms.Ìý

Of the 871 reported COVID-19 cases in Saskatchewan, 90 were considered active on July 13.
