COVID-19 Update: Five new cases, 12 in hospital and one more recovery

There were five new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on July 19, bringing the total to 943 cases. The newest cases were located in the Central (4) and Saskatoon (1) regions.

There were five new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on July 19, bringing the total to 943 cases. 

The newest cases were located in the Central (4) and Saskatoon (1) regions.

A positive case on July 11 was updated to a negative result, meaning this case was eliminated from all total cases, bringing the total to four cases removed as of July 19. 

Of the 943 reported cases, 129 were considered active.

A total of 799 people recovered. 

Twelve people were in hospital. Nine people received inpatient care; five in Saskatoon, three in the south and one in the north of the province. 

Three people were in intensive care; two in Saskatoon and one in the south. 

Of the 943 cases in the province: 183 cases were travellers; 516 cases related to community contacts (including mass gatherings); 165 cases had no known exposures and 79 cases were under investigation by local public health.
