Couple charged with weapons and property offences

The Indian Head RCMP located and arrested a male and female in the town of Indian Head on the morning of August 17. The male and female were subjects of a Saskatchewan Crime Watch Network advisory sent out by the detachment.

The male and female were being investigated for property crime offences occurring in Indian Head’s rural surroundings.Ìý

Jenna Miller (26 years old) and Dustin Bowers (27 years old) of Kamsack were charged with numerous property crime offences, including possession of stolen property, theft under $5000Ìýand fraudulent use of a credit card.Ìý

Bowers has been charged with six additional firearms and weapons offences – these charges include unlawfully possessing a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon and carrying a weapon dangerous to the public peace.

Police recovered a modified .22 calibre rifle classified as a prohibited firearm during the investigation.Ìý

Both appeared in court in Indian Head on August 18 and were being held in custody for future court appearances.
