Mayor Debra Button announced the resignation of Councillor Dave Craigen on March 8.
"I have received a letter of resignation from Councillor Craigen, indicating that he must step down from City Council for personal, medical reasons. I find the circumstances unfortunate and I have accepted his resignation," said Button.
Button stated that Council would discuss procedures for filling Craigen's roles on Council and would release details in the near future.
