Focusing on Early Learning as one of the three division priorities has been beneficial for Â鶹´«Ã½AV East Cornerstone as of late. With the division receiving two new Pre-Kindergarten programs, that aligns with their priorities, which we are then able to enhance as a result of this.

It was recently announced that Arcola School and OPHS were the newest locations for Pre-K programs in the school division. Director of Education Dr. Marc Casavant explained with these additions, funding needs to be secured for capital projects related to these newly announced Pre-K programs, namely procuring portable classrooms if the need arises. If funding isn't received, this would mean the division would have to go into its operating funds to pay for such necessities.

Pre-Kindergarten programs currently run in MacLeod Elementary in Moosomin, Carlyle Elementary (the longest running Pre-K program in the division), Haig School in Weyburn (two classes) and Westview School (two classes).
