The Â鶹´«Ã½AVeast Regional College awarded 25 scholarships and bursaries in Weyburn on February 24, totalling $21,050.
The College's scholarships and bursaries are administered by the Â鶹´«Ã½AVeast Education Foundation. Each fall, all full-time students have the option to submit a scholarship and bursary application to the Foundation. A volunteer committee selects the recipients based on a number of factors including academic achievement, financial need, and community involvement.
Throughout the entire Â鶹´«Ã½AVeast Regional College region, about $40,000 in scholarships and bursaries have been awarded this year.
