During the week of Feb. 21-27, the Weyburn Police Service responded to 76 complaints, including thefts and mischief, and there were 83 calls for the week of Feb. 14-20, including seven commercial and one residential alarm.
A worker employed at a local health facility had his credit card and cash stolen from his locker on Feb. 23. Investigation continues into this theft.
Also on Feb. 23, police were called to a residence on Mergens Street in Weyburn to investigate a theft of money.
A young man had his car egged on Feb. 24 while parked on the 200 block of Seventh Street in Weyburn.
Police attended a disturbance at a noisy party on Friday night on First Ave. in Weyburn. Alcohol was involved.
Police were called to locate a suspect responsible for refusing to pay his taxi fare on Saturday, after being delivered to the 500 block of McGillivray Drive in Weyburn.
On Feb. 21, a shoplifter was charged for stealing merchandise from a local service station.
Police and the Fire Department responded to a reported fire at the Royal Bank on Feb. 22 after working hours. The fire turned out to not be suspicious in nature. According to Fire Chief Steve Debienne, there was extensive damage to a janitor room, with heavy smoke throughout the building, causing the bank to be closed the following day.
On Sunday, police were called to a noisy party in the 300 block of Seventh Street in Weyburn.
On Feb. 14, members of the Weyburn Police Service were called to direct traffic at the intersections of Third St. and Government Road on Highway 39. A vehicle was pulling a trailer which had caught the guide wire from a power pole; the pole snapped resulting in the failure of the traffic lights.
Police attended a complaint on Feb. 16 about a youth smashing things in his home; the parties involved were spoken to and the issues were resolved.
A number of 911 calls and disconnects were received from a home on Feb. 16; police attended and found that a three-year-old was making the calls. Residents are reminded that the 911 telephone system is for emergencies only.
Police were called on Feb. 17 to investigate a complaint of mischief to a vehicle that had been keyed; investigation into the incident is ongoing.
A vehicle which was travelling west on Prairie Avenue was hit broadside when a second vehicle failed to stop at the stop sign on Feb. 17, and there were no injuries. One driver was charged with disobeying a stop sign.
Police were called on Feb. 17 to remove an intoxicated male from the mall; one person was arrested and lodged in cells till sober.
Due to ruts and icy roads, the driver of a north-bound vehicle on Ninth Street lost control on Feb. 18 and hit a parked vehicle; no injuries were reported.
The same day, an east-bound vehicle on Highway 39 hit a patch of ice, lost control of his vehicle and hit a road sign; no injuries were reported.
A local restaurant reported that they were having problems with some customers on Feb. 19. The patrons left when police arrived.
Police attended an accident on First Ave. NW on Feb. 19. The driver of an east-bound vehicle was fatigued, and the person crossed into the opposing lane of traffic. Once aware of this the driver braked, went into a slide and went over a snow bank into a fence. A charge of driving without due care and attention was laid.

Police responded to a complaint of fighting at a local bar on Feb. 20. The alleged combatants were removed from the bar.
The Weyburn RCMP are asking for the public's assistance to solve a recent crime. On Feb. 20, a suspect or suspects stole approximately 40 vehicle batteries from a construction site east of Weyburn.
An older dark-coloured truck was seen leaving the area between 8 and 9 p.m.; the value of the batteries is estimated at $400.
