Charges laid in Roche Percee break-ins

The Estevan RCMP detachment has charge four young offenders for the recent rash of break-ins in Roche Percee.


The Estevan RCMP detachment has charge four young offenders for the recent rash of break-ins in Roche Percee. The press release is as follows:

RCMP in Estevan have charged several young people in relation to a string of Break & Enter complaints that occurred in the community of Roche Percee on June 25. The offences are alleged to have occurred when the community was suffering the effects of recent flooding.

A total of four young people, all males, are each facing four charges under the criminal code. Names can not be released under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act but their ages and hometowns are as follows:

- male, 16 years old, from Frobisher, SK - 2 counts of Break, Enter & Theft (residence), 2 counts of Break & Enter, with intent to commit an indictable offence.
- male, 15 years old, from North Portal, SK - 2 counts of Break, Enter & Theft (residence), 2 counts of Break & Enter, with intent to commit an indictable offence.
- male, 16 years old, from Bienfait, SK - 2 counts of Break, Enter & Theft (residence), 2 counts of Break & Enter, with intent to commit an indictable offence.
- male, 15 years old, from Bienfait, SK - 2 counts of Break, Enter & Theft (residence), 2 counts of Break & Enter, with intent to commit an indictable offence.

Also seized during the investigation were two large screen televisions. These items will be returned to their owners.

All youth have been released from custody on conditions and are scheduled to return to court in Estevan on September 8th, 2011 at 9:30 a.m.

Assisting in this investigation were the following RCMP units: SERT - Â鶹´«Ã½AVern Enforcement Response Team, GIS - General Investigation Section (Regina) and the Integrated Border Enforcement Team (IBET).
