For the past several years, the Weyburn Public Library has been the beneficiary of donations from the Weyburn branch of the Superannuated Teachers Association for the library's highly successful "Books for Babies" programme.The year 2010 was no exception.
In partnership with Sun Country Health Region, the "Books for Babies" - which consists of a baby board book, a library bag, and information about library services - are handed out by health professionals to young families in Weyburn and area annually.
A recent $750 donation from the Superannuated Teachers Association will allow this program to continue for another year.
"I am grateful to the Superannuated Teachers for their latest generous donation and our partners at Sun Country Health Region for sustaining the highly successful "Books for Babies" program for another year," said Librarian Kam Teo.
