Update: Boil water advisory issued for Maple Creek

Residents are instructed to boil water for at least one minute prior to use.

MAPLE CREEK — A Precautionary Drinking Water Advisory has been issued for the Town of Maple Creek. This advisory is for the entire community and for any individuals who may access water the Town of Maple Creek water system. This advisory is in effect until further notice.

The Sask Alert system says boil water for at least one minute prior to use. This includes for drinking purposes, washing of fruits and vegetables and brushing teeth. Do not drink from any public drinking fountains supplied with water from the public water supply. Use an alternative water source known to be safe.

Originally, the advisory accidentally went out province-wide. It was cancelled and re-issued at 2:31 p.m. for just the Maple Creek community.

The Sask Alert website has the ending time listed as Thursday, Nov. 30, 2:26 p.m.
