The Butterfly tree won the people's choice award for favourite tree and also happened to be the tree that sold for the most, going for $2,700. Great Plains Ford purchased the tree and then donated it back to the Family Place. This was the 11th annual Festival of Trees and also acted as a wrap up to the Family Place's 15th anniversary celebrations. The festival was able to raise $40,000 which goes towards the various programs that the Family Place offers to Weyburn and area residents.
