Peavey Mart in Western Canada is hosting a special program this winter titled Heat the Feet, where customers can purchase a pair of socks for one dollar to help those in need. The Assiniboia Town Council passed a bucket around during the last town council meeting on December 2 to support this initiative. Assiniboia town staff and staff at the Assiniboia Town Shop also kicked in cash donations.
In total, $105 was collected for Heat the Feet.
