A woman has been charges with arson for a house fire near Carlyle.
On April 26 at 9:20 p.m. Carlyle RCMP and the Kipling Fire Department were called to a house fire on the Pheasant Rump First Nation. When detachment members arrived, the house was engulfed in flames.
Initial reports from the residents of the home indicated that one person may have been unable toescape the fire. However, investigators have confirmed that all individuals in the home at the time of the fire were able to safely leave the residence.The residence was completely destroyed due to the fire. There were no injuries to any person as a result of the fire.
An RCMP Fire Scene Examiner and RCMP Major Crimes attended to assist Carlyle RCMP with the investigation. As a result of the investigation, 23-year-old Seana Laine Manyfingers was taken into custody on April 27 and has been charged with arson. She was remanded to appear in Estevan Provincial Court on April 28.
