Armed robbery occurs in Glentworth

Ponteix RCMP responded to a robbery call at the Glentworth Credit Union on May 17.
The incident occurred about 9:45 a.m. when a masked lone male who was carrying a firearm entered the institution and demanded money, according to the RCMP from their initital investigation. The perpetrator was reported to have left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash heading south down Main Street. There were no injuries reported as a result of the incident. Ponteix RCMP have released photographs of the male from the incident who is described as five feet and eight or nine inches tall with a stocky build and who was unshaven.
The person was estimated to be in his late 40s or early 50s and wearing a black toque and a camouflage-style jacket. Ponteix RCMP are asking anyone with information about this incident to contact them at 306-625-6400 or 310-RCMP, or to call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
