Two of the men allegedly involved in a Nov. 27 home invasion in Estevan have been released from custody.
Joseph Debigare and Peter McQuinn were both granted bail following a show cause hearing Thursday in Estevan court.
Debigare will be forced to put up $10,000 for his release while McQuinn was ordered to pay $5,000 in bail. They were also placed on a number of conditions including substance abuse treatment and a weapons prohibition. Both men were also ordered to stay 50 kilometres away from Estevan unless they were in the area for court or to meet with legal council.
A publication ban was also ordered at the hearing preventing the media from publishing details of the case.
The six people arrested in connection with the kidnapping of three people earlier this year had the date set for their preliminary trial.
Creston Hanson, Ronald Himmelspeck, Amanda Knebush, Dustin MacNeil, Spencer Persson and Jessica Smith will all be back in court July 23 when it will be determined if there is enough evidence to proceed to a trial.
An Estevan young offender who committed a number of crimes in just months was given a sentence of six months in deferred custody Thursday.
The 16-year-old was charged with a number of assaults and break and enters from March to November in Estevan, Torquay and Lampman. The young offender was also ordered to pay restitution and must abide by a number of conditions including a strict curfew. He was also ordered to pay restitution to his victims.
