Mealshare Program

A Mealshare program offered at the Assiniboia A&W will help support the Moose Jaw Salvation Army to provide meals in the community.

Over 1,000 A&W locations are participating in the program, and for every Mealshare item purchased, a simple, healthy meal will be provided to a youth in need.

The goal for the partnership is to share 1,250,000 meals every year. In Saskatchewan, almost 50 A&W locations are participating and they hope to share close to 60,000 meals per year.

As a result of COVID and the impact it has had on the restaurant industry, Mealshare was at a crossroads to find solutions to support its charities. This partnership is a game-changer for Mealshare and all the Canadian youth that are supported.

On 鈥楳ealshare Mondays鈥, customers can order a Cheddar Bacon Uncle Burger Combo and one meal will be provided to a youth in need through Mealshare.

In addition, any day of the week, customers can 鈥淢ake it a Mealshare鈥 by adding $1 to their order. Customers can participate in-restaurant, through drive-thru, or by using the mobile app.

鈥淎&W is an amazing organization and a leader in the industry through its many environmental and social initiatives,鈥 said Jeremy Bryant, Co-Founder of Mealshare. 鈥淭he support of A&W restaurants will make a huge impact for Mealshare and all the youth we support across the entire country鈥.

鈥淥ur national partnership with Mealshare will help us make a bigger difference with our operators and their teams across the country. Local franchisees from coast to coast are excited to be a part of this program because they鈥檝e seen first-hand the needs in their communities and how these programs can provide immediate benefit and support,鈥 said Susan Senecal, Chief Executive Officer at A&W Canada. 鈥淣o child should ever go hungry, especially in a country like Canada, so we鈥檙e thrilled that we can be a part of this initiative.鈥
