Kelly Panteluk Construction Ltd. (KPCL) in Estevan has contributed $450,000 to the Children鈥檚 Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan, allowing young patients, parents and their medical teams to have access to an innovative new space when the doors open.
The new multidisciplinary assessment room in the pediatric outpatient department will provide assessment space to help children at risk for issues related to genetic disorders, neuro-motor disorders, metabolic disorders and many other acute or chronic conditions.
鈥淲e are very grateful for the support of KPCL in helping to create such a unique space within the new maternal and children鈥檚 hospital,鈥� said Brynn Boback-Lane, president and CEO of the Children鈥檚 Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan.
鈥淜PCL鈥檚 generosity is helping to ensure that our new hospital has the leading edge facilities and equipment it needs to improve treatment for our province鈥檚 children and families.鈥�
The space will allow professionals to work with children and assess their physical and emotional needs, and provide a space for members of the multidisciplinary team, such as physicians, nurses, occupational and physiotherapists, and speech-language pathologists to thoroughly assess children.
