Giselle鈥檚 Showtyme Dance students were very successful in the Dance Nation competition and won many awards.

The National Youth Band of Canada performed for band students in Weyburn at the Cugnet Centre on Wednesday morning.

Tim & The Glory Boys will perform at 7 p.m. on May 11 as part of their Home-Town Hoedown Tour.

Weyburn author Anne Lazurko received the Fiction Award for her second novel, What Is Written On the Tongue, at the Saskatchewan Book Awards.

Performance begins at 2 p.m. at the Estevan Comprehensive School.

A modernized musical version of the Romeo and Juliet story will be staged by the junior high drama club at St. Michael School in Weyburn.

Dancers from Marley's Dance Effex in Weyburn, from preschool up to 18 years of age, performed in their season-end dance recital on Saturday at the Cugnet Centre. The day began with solos and duos performing first, then a recital with 58 dance numbers by small and large groups, and solos by graduating dancers, Maddie Gerry, Teresa Weger and Kiley Prost.

Taillon was part of a four-piece band that took top spot and won several pirzes.

The Big Muddy Players worked in partnership with the Coronach School Community Council.
