In these workshops the public will participate in a fun Drawing People Workshop.

Workshops will be instructed by Allan Dotson, a Regina artist. Dotson teaches drama, storytelling, puppetry, comic creation and game design at the Neil Balkwill Civic Arts Centre and in Regina schools. He received a BA in Art and English from the University of Lethbridge and an Arts Education degree from the University of Regina. He is a founding member of Regina's Valuable Comics collective and has self-published five role-playing games, several board and card games and a small series of tiny comics. Allan's comics have been featured in the Regina Public Library's centennial graphic novel, and as part of the Saskatchewan Legislative Building's 100th anniversary artist in residence program.

In this workshop participants will learn useful graphic illustration techniques for drawing people from the imagination. They will learn the basics of drawing human bodies, faces, hands and clothes as well as a variety of useful body positions. You don't have to be artistic to participate.
