The Weyburn Public Library will be bringing the movie 'The Gold Bracelet' and its director/actor Kavi Raz to Weyburn on April 13 at 2:00 p.m. The film is about an East Indian family in the United States in a post-9/11 world.
This movie comes to Weyburn courtesy of a partnership between the Weyburn and District Multicultural Council, the Multicultural Council of Saskatchewan and the Regina Immigrant Women Centre.
Kavi Raz is the first East Indian to be a regular cast member on an American series, St. Elsewhere. He also made appearances on M*A*S*H, the A-Team and Star Trek: The Next Generation.
After the movie, Kavi Raz himself will be available to the audience for a question and answer time.
