The headstone for a veteran, identified as Sgt. David Moore, is almost indecipherable as the stone has been badly weathered with moss or lichen appearing on it. This is one of several like it at Hillcrest Cemetery, where many veterans of war or of military service are interred. A reader whose father is interred at Hillcrest wrote to express his concern over the state of some of the headstones of veterans, and whether there is a group that could look after them.
