Currently on display at the Weyburn Credit Union Gallery is "Provenance" by Weyburn artist Malia Brackpool. The exhibit features mixed media artwork - original pencil drawings altered by digital technology.
"Provenance" is a selection of Brackpool's current body of works and reveals how times are changing: how digital technology can be used with other mediums to create something entirely new. Incorporating computer graphic technology into her pencil work and experimenting with lighting, colours, filters and layering creates a unique fusion of traditional and new mediums for even greater freedom of expression and creativity for this artist.
This exhibition is on view until the end of October.
