Merry Ghebremeskel, Ryanna Sidloski, Hailey Kirkpatrick, Taya Schmidt and Noah Jeworski proudly fly the Canadian flag, as they excitedly await for Canada Day celebrations on July 1. The City of Weyburn will hold a number of fun activities to mark Canada's 146th birthday. Most of the events will be at the Weyburn Leisure Centre, including a pancake breakfast from 8 to 10:30 a.m., a Canada Day flag ceremony, and a free swim from 9 to 11:30 a.m. There will also be an arts and crafts table, entertainment by magician Richy Roy, and a barbecue. Later in the evening, there will be a fireworks display at the fair grounds. If there is inclement weather, the Canada Day festivities will be held indoors at the Legion Hall.
