Spencer family to host Jams annual Christmas dinner

Sandy Spencer Johnson and her family are again hosting the Jams Family Christmas Day dinner.

Sandy Spencer Johnson and her family are again hosting the Jams Family Christmas Day dinner. This year, Sandy's new husband Joel will join her in welcoming the many who have become like family to her and her girls after seven years of hosting this event.

The dinner is open to anyone who will be spending Christmas Day alone, whether they are a single parent, widowed, divorced or your kids are spending Christmas with their in-laws. It is the wish of the Spencer family that residents join them for Christmas dinner.

The dinner takes place on Christmas Day at the Knox Hall, on Second Street in Weyburn, at 1 p.m. The meal is free of charge to anyone experiencing financial difficulties at this time of year.

For those who are able, Sandy suggests a donation of $8. All proceeds will be going to the Â鶹´«Ã½AVeast Family Resource Centre Inc.

This is a newly formed group of individuals who are working towards providing respite services for families in southeast Saskatchewan who have children with special needs.

Anyone requesting information about this organization can call Sandy for details. Sandy is an intake worker for the Mental Health and Addictions Services in Weyburn.

Anyone wishing to reserve a place at the Jams Christmas Dinner, want to help set up for the meal, or make a donation to help cover the costs can contact Sandy. There is a message manager, and Sandy will call back to confirm all requests.
Reservations will be accepted right up until Christmas Eve, but early booking would be appreciated.

Walk-ins and deliveries are also accepted. Anyone needing a ride can also contact Sandy.
