St. Michael teacher Chad Klein talks to his Grade 8 science class about the skills they can learn and apply in the real world, as they gather to take water samples from the Souris River on June 18. The class was led by two professionals from Matrix Solutions in the processes involved in collecting and testing water samples from the Souris, with the challenge to test for sodium chloride; the students are studying about natural water system in science class, so they applied some of their knowledge to this situation as they learn about the environment and how science can be used in taking care of it.
