Saskatchewan musicians to repeat Flood Relief Concert

After last year's Flood Relief Concert that raised $35,000, musiciansfrom Saskatchewan will come together once again for a special night of music on Wednesday,July 27 at Third Avenue United Church in Saskatoon.

After last year's Flood Relief Concert that raised $35,000, musiciansfrom Saskatchewan will come together once again for a special night of music on Wednesday,July 27 at Third Avenue United Church in Saskatoon.

Working with the Saskatchewan Division ofthe Canadian Red Cross, all proceeds will go to the communities across the province that havebeen affected by the severe weather.

The concert will feature Saskatchewan-native and three-time Juno award winner Connie Kaldor,Canadian Country Music Award winner Brad Johner, Jay Semko from The Northern Pikes,Carrie Catherine, Jeffery Straker and Stephen Maguire.

"Last year's concert fundraiser was a great success and helped many families get their livesback to normal," said Richard Kies, Acting Provincial Director of the Red Cross in

Saskatchewan."Again this year, our province has been affected by many disasters and Red

Cross is helping families to recover. We are so excited that this concert fundraiser is being held.

It makes a big difference in the lives of families right here in our province."

SaskMusic is once again partnering on the Flood Relief Concert, and CBC is on board as theprimary media partner.

Last year's concert was voted the #2 Concert of the Year in Saskatoon. Over 600 people

attended.

This year, the organizers are challenging all businesses to buy 10 tickets each.

www.picatic.com/floodrelief2011.The doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30 p.m.
