The Weyburn Rider Nation committee is asking all songwriters and musicians to submit an entry to show Weyburn is the best Roughrider community. The Weyburn Rider Nation and Access 7 Weyburn are preparing a video submission for the Saskatchewan Roughriders' "Where is Riderville?" contest, and they want a theme song.

Organizers Nicole Wendt and Rochelle Wendt put out the call for submissions. "A little bit of country, a little bit of rock-and-roll and a whole lot of Weyburn Rider Pride; create a song that helps us show the province that Weyburn is the ultimate Rider community," they said.

Send in an original composition and your song could be chosen. The winning entry will be featured in the "Make Weyburn Riderville" video, and will be the showcase act at the Weyburn Rider Roundup to be held on Friday, Apr. 30.

The deadline for entries is Wednesday, Apr. 21. E-mail to [email protected] for additional details on how to submit a lyric sheet and demo.
