Semester 2 for the Weyburn Comprehensive School starts on Friday, Jan. 18, with new classes and many of the teachers moved into the old Weyburn Collegiate (1912) wing so that renovations can begin in the "A" and "B" part of the 1972 wing.

Semester 2 for the Weyburn Comprehensive School starts on Friday, Jan. 18, with new classes and many of the teachers moved into the old Weyburn Collegiate (1912) wing so that renovations can begin in the "A" and "B" part of the 1972 wing.

The main office ("A") will be moved shortly to the north side in the new office area and art rooms that will be open in the near future. This means visitors to the school must report using a door on the northeast corner of the science wing, the loading dock or following the signs and use the "B" door.

The south "A" door will be blocked off during renovations and everyone coming to the cafeteria from the south must enter through the "B" doors, proceed straight down the hallway and if possible enter the cafeteria through the door opposite the library.

If this is not possible they must go to the end of the hallway, turn right follow that hallway to the hallway going south to the cafeteria.

Signs will be posted. The "A" block will be renovated to house the new day-care center and the "B" block will be renovated to serve as classrooms as it was before. Parking for evening events only (after 5 o'clock) will be allowed in the Queen Elizabeth Parking lot and people must enter the school through the loading dock doors on the southeast corner of the science wing.

It is critical that no vehicle enter the Queen Elizabeth parking lot during school hours and also no parking in staff parking areas directly east of the science wing.

Due to exams all school activities are on hold until this coming Friday, when the senior girls' basketball team is off to Moose Jaw and the senior boys to Swift Current for tournaments. The junior boys are hosting a tournament here in Weyburn.

There is an exhibition wrestling match at the school this evening, Jan. 16, between the University of Regina and Jamestown College.

There will be a grad/parent meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 29, in the Cafetorium starting at 7:30.
Plans are also finalized for the annual ski trip from Jan. 25th to 28th.
