A new local man is looking to spend his recent winnings.
Devin Lamming won $23,379 on his lottery POOLS ticket, just after moving to Saskatchewan. The former Sault St. Marie, Ontario resident recently moved to Weyburn for work. He purchased one $5 POOLS ticket from Stoughton Meat and Family Foods.
"I watched the sports highlights and saw that all the teams I picked had won. I didn't believe it, so I checked the internet the next day," Lamming recalled.
Lamming was the only person to correctly pick all 12 games, winning $23,379.
"I was so happy...no, more like ecstatic," Lamming said.
"This couldn't come at a better time. I am moving my family to Weyburn in the next month so I'll use this money for a down payment on a house. It definitely makes moving a little easier."
