Kenosee Lake Kitchen Party to host nightly concerts

Music is emotion projected in its most beautiful form. Though all kinds of emotion can be evoked through music the Kenosee Lake Kitchen Party is one that continually brings people together in a celebration of music and happiness.

Last year, as usual, the student showcase drew many friends, families, and music lovers.

Music is emotion projected in its most beautiful form. Though all kinds of emotion can be evoked through music the Kenosee Lake Kitchen Party is one that continually brings people together in a celebration of music and happiness.

The treasured music camp hosted by Michele Amy and Will Elliot will once again be held. This year they have invited back many amazing artists who are both adept in playing instruments, but who are skilled in instruction.

Found at the Kenosee Lake Boys and Girls Camp will be two separate weeks of five days of learning, fun, and music. This year's camps being held Aug. 12th to Aug. 16th and Aug. 18 to Aug. 22.

Each day is filled with instruction from some of Canada's most talented artists, free time at the beautiful summer camp on the lake, and jam sessions. Though centred on music it is a holistic summer camp, which has made a reputation for itself as a treasure in the southeast.

With over 100 campers during each weekly session the Kenosee Lake Kitchen Party continues to grow and evolve.

This year instructors will be present for fiddle, piano, choir, vocals, guitar, banjo, and mandolin. Between 25 instructors, some returning for both weeks, those enrolled in the camp will have first class instruction.

While the camp boasts amazing experiences for those attending the general public is also able to partake in the musical phenomenon of the southeast through nightly concerts open to everyone. Concerts will be held every night beginning at 7 p.m. and lasting approximately two to three hours.

Admission for the concerts is $10 a night for adults or $40 for the full week, $5 a night for youth, and $30 a night for families.

The concert lineup is currently found at www.kenoseekitchenparty.ca. While instructors perform throughout the week it is the final night of each camp that allows the students to showcase the skills they have learnt from their instructors.

"You'll watch how music brings people together in the finest sense..." the Kenosee Lake Kitchen Party states.

The outdoor concerts offer popcorn, pop, and 50/50 draws every night with extremely talented musicians surrounded by the Moose Mountains which makes for a beautiful evening.
