WEYBURN – Over 900 dancers from 17 dance studios around Saskatchewan, including two from Weyburn, converged on Weyburn for the 14th annual Inspirations of Dance competition from March 16-19.
The dancers ranged in age from under five to 17, and they competed in all dance styles and music genres.
These included solos, duets, small and large groups, and they competed in ballet, jazz, hip hop, tap, contemporary, lyrical and musical theatre.
The dances took place all day on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Cugnet Centre, with a number of competitors dancing at St. Michael School on Thursday evening to kick the weekend off.
The judging was handled by two adjudicators, Kimberly Grenier from Edmonton, and Kristin Weber from Yorkton.
