Humane Society enters online contest

The Weyburn Humane Society is in a new online challenge. They are competing in the Shelter Challenge "Doggy Paddle". This contest is a chance for shelters and voters to use the new Shelter Challenge system.


The Weyburn Humane Society is in a new online challenge.

They are competing in the Shelter Challenge "Doggy Paddle". This contest is a chance for shelters and voters to use the new Shelter Challenge system.

Between June 5 and June 18, local residents can vote every day for their favourite shelter.

There will be five final winning shelters announced on Friday, June 21, each receive $1,000 grant to help animals.

The Shelter Challenge can be located at: http://www.shelterchallenge.com. Residents can search for Weyburn, then find the Weyburn Humane Society to place their vote.

After the first vote, residents are encouraged to bookmark the site to visit daily. After the initial first-time search, voters will automatically have their previous vote displayed.

The more daily votes the better the chance the Weyburn Humane Society has to win $1,000; the funds would go towards the care of animals at the` shelter.

The Weyburn Humane Society spay and neuter dogs and cats, get them vaccinated and feed and groom them.
